Crans-Montana, OMEGA European Masters - players announced

The PGA European Tour celebrates its 30th anniversary this year and the European Masters has been a part of it from the outset. This year sees a total of 49 events on the tour, held in 25 countries. With such competition among organisers, it is important that the OMEGA European Masters tournament can look forward to a healthy future thanks to prestige Swiss watchmaker OMEGA's new 5-year commitment to the tournament as title spons

One of the biggest bonuses of the new partnership with OMEGA is that the tournament will this year welcome the world's number 4 golfer and OMEGA brand ambassador Ernie Els. Furthermore, world no. 12 and 1999 European Masters winner Lee Westwood, after a recent return to top form, will undoubtedly be one of the top challengers. The total of 150 professional golfers participating in the tournament includes 13 more players from the top 25 in the European Order of Merit:

The tournament takes place from 6th September until 9th September and is preceded by the OMEGA Charity Skins game, in which Ernie Els will go head-to-head with Lee Westwood and Severiano Ballesteros to win a share in a 45,000 Swiss franc prize fund for his favourite charity.
